Words from the Artist:
There is a thread of harmony in all of these images. Individually, they are what I see and capture, but feel and create more than just one aspect of the image. The work I create has been a method of healing where I am able to find inspiration in everything I learn and see. The hard part is focusing on what is connected and finding balance, to create work that speaks to others who feel the same way. Photography has motivated me to create work that evokes emotion and translates some of the things I see and feel.
THIS WORK DIRECTLY SUPPORTS:
The Anti Police-Terror Project is a Black-led, multi-racial, intergenerational coalition that seeks to build a replicable and sustainable model to eradicate police terror in communities of color. They support families surviving police terror in their fight for justice, documenting police abuses and connecting impacted families and community members with resources, legal referrals, and opportunities for healing.
